The Americanized ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by Nelio Diaz, runs the online store at theamericanized.shop (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the Site or buy from us, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. Information we collect

Information you give us

- Contact details: your name, email address, and phone number (if you provide one).
- Shipping and billing details: your shipping address and billing address.
- Order details: the products you buy, sizes and colors, order totals, discount codes used, and your order history.
- Payment information: payments are processed securely by Shopify and our payment processors. We don't see or store your full card number.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login information and preferences.
- Messages to us: anything you send when you email us or contact support.

Information collected automatically

- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location, pages you visit, products you view or add to your cart, and how you got to our Site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

How we use your information

We use your information to:

- Process and fulfill your orders, including making your products, shipping them, sending order and shipping confirmations, and handling returns, replacements, and refunds.
- Provide customer support and respond to your questions.
- Send marketing emails, only with your consent. If you sign up for our emails, we'll send you news, new drops, and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Even if you unsubscribe, we'll still send you emails about your orders.
- Send abandoned-cart reminders. If you start checkout and enter your email but don't finish, we may send you a reminder about the items you left behind.
- Understand and improve our store through analytics, for example which products are popular and how visitors use the Site.
- Keep the Site secure and prevent fraud.
- Comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Who we share your information with

We don't sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our store:

- Fulfillment partners: each piece is printed or stitched just for you after you order. We share your order details, including your name, shipping address, and the items you ordered, with Apliiq (who makes our apparel) and Printful (who makes our hats, beanies, and accessories) so they can produce and ship your order. They may share your shipping details with shipping carriers to deliver it.
- Shopify: our store is hosted on Shopify, which processes your information to run the Site, checkout, and customer accounts. Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy, and exercise rights related to Shopify's processing at the Shopify Privacy Portal.
- Payment processors: to securely process your payment and prevent fraud.
- Service providers: companies that help us with email, analytics, and customer support, who may only use your information to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, to respond to legal requests, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Some of these uses, such as advertising and analytics cookies, may count as "selling" or "sharing" personal information under certain US state laws. You can opt out (see "Your rights and choices").

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to:

- Make the Site work (for example, to remember what's in your cart and keep you signed in),
- Remember your preferences,
- Understand how visitors use the Site (analytics), and
- Measure and improve our marketing.

You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the Site (like the cart and checkout) may not work properly. Where required by law, we'll ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it,
- Correct inaccurate information,
- Delete your personal information,
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, and
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising. You can do this on our data sharing opt-out page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we'll treat it as an opt-out request for that browser.

To make a request, email us at support@americanized.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. You can also use an authorized agent where the law allows. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.

How long we keep your information

We keep order information for as long as we need it to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. We keep marketing information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, and payments are processed through Shopify's secure checkout. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

International visitors

We're based in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Nothing in this policy limits any privacy or consumer rights you have under the laws where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
